Today we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Replacement Extendable Side Mirror for Jeeps. This is also known to be a really good universal mirror. You'll see that it has the universal brackets on there so it allows this mirror to be used for a variety of applications as well. This is going to fit a 1953 Jeep CJ3A, a 53-64 Jeep CJ3B. A 55-86 Jeep CJ5, 55-75 Jeep CJ6 and 1976 to a 1986 Jeep CJ7. It's a round side view mirror that's a direct replacement for the drivers or passenger side factory mirror on the Jeep.

This is designed to match the manufacturer specs, very custom looking fit. It's going to feature this telescoping function. All you've got to do is loosen up this screw, this arm can extend out. When it's fully retracted, you're looking at about a 12 inch length, fully extended it goes all the way to 17 inches. That's going to let you extend the mirror out from your Jeep, makes it easier to park, change lanes and pass when you're towing a trailer. The mirror face is made of OE grade flat glass with inaudible 00:01:07 surface plating.

It's going to do a good job at reflecting sharp images. it's also going to provide minimal distortions so it's just a really nice clear design. The unit does feature a breakaway design so if it is hit from the front or back, the attachment hardware allows it to swing away or breakaway to prevent permanent damage. This mirror sits on a ball and socket joint, it's going to let you rotate the mirror face in all directions for perfect positioning. It adds a steel housing with a black finish. It's very durable, nice strong design and it gives it a good look and it's going to do a good job at resisting rust and corrosion.

Installs rather easily. It can be installed on either side of your vehicle. It bolts to the existing mount holes and it does not come with the necessary hardware so that will need to be provided separately. You're going to get one side view mirror. The diameter of the mirror face is about five inches and again, the extended length is 17 inches, retracted is 12 inches.
