Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we'll be taking a look at the CommuteMate tablet holder for your car headrest right here at etrailer. So, you're driving and you just hear people going, "Are we there yet What are we gonna do I'm so bored." When that happens, that's usually because there's nothing else to do in the car, that's where this comes in handy. For people who like to use their tablets while they're on long road trips, you can just attach this to the back of your headrest, and then whoever's in the backseat can have fun while you can focus on the road. So, this is a very simple tablet holder, and it's small and compact.
So, when you arrive at your destination, you take your tablet off. You could just leave this behind your headrest. It doesn't take up too much space and it's not very bulky. It's just put it on and done. It attaches to the two poles underneath your headrest.
So, you just tighten them down and then tighten down these knobs, and then you're ready to go. Now, if you have a different sized headrest, please note that if it's not standard, you may or may not be able to fit this around it. So, the maximum post distance is gonna be 7 5/8 inches. And the diameter or the size of the post itself cannot be more than 3/4 inches. So, what's it like living with this So, let's say, you need to switch this over to the other seat, or you have it in the other vehicle, it's very simple, very easy.
I have it already all set up. So, you just need to make sure that your hooks are loose. You have these knob at, knobs at the end. Just make sure you don't overloosen them. And then they clip around your headrest.
And then you can slide them back and forth, so just slide them into those poles and then tighten them down. And once both bolts are tightened down, that's it. You're ready to put your tablet on. Now, let's talk about how it carries it. So, we have these plastic arms, one, two, three mounting points. On the insides of those mounting points, you have these small foam blocks. So, these two arms are static, which means they can't move. They have a little tab at the end just to hook onto the edge of your tablet. And then you have this button over here. So, when you press that button, that allows you to adjust that this width arm. So, if you have wider tablets, bring it all the way out to the first position. And then you just secure it by pushing in. So, the minimum width measurement is gonna be 3 1/2 inches on the inside. So, if you wanna use this to carry your phone, you probably won't be able to fit it in there. Now, the maximum tablet width is, if we measure from the inside to the inside, it's gonna be about 8 1/2 inches. So, we have this secured in portrait mode. Notice how those tabs fit right over our tablet. But what if we wanna watch a movie What we can do is we can just rotate this, or let's put it this way, so that we have the two supporting arms on the bottom. We can just adjust our angle for best viewing angle. And ta-da, it's now in landscape mode. So, there's a ball joint in the back that allows you to move this up, down, side to side, well, in a full rotation. And once you have the angle you want it to be in, you just tighten down this knob and then it's secured. So, my personal thoughts about this tablet mount is if you are gonna be carrying around tablets, highly recommended. If you wanna switch between your phone or your tablet, probably not gonna be the best fit since this only works for those larger mobile devices. But I really like how small and compact it is because you can store this inside your purse, you can store it in your bag, switch it between different seats, between different cars very easily. It takes a little bit of time to set up because you have a couple of different knobs. So, definitely do that ahead of time before your long trip, so it's all ready to go for maximum enjoyment. But once you are ready to go, I do like how stable it is. You, of course, are gonna have a little bit of movement, but you'll still be able to enjoy the movie. And that was a look here at our CommuteMate HeadRest tablet mount for your vehicle headrest right here at etrailer. My name is Evangeline and I hope you enjoyed the journey..
