Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2021 Buick Encore and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III Two-Inch Hitch Receiver. Adding a two-inch hitch receiver to the back of your Encore is gonna allow you to get some of those bulkier items out of the back of your car and onto a cargo carrier, maybe a bike rack or even pull a small trailer. This hitch will feature a two inch by two inch opening, which is gonna fit most of your accessories. That is the most common size of hitch receiver tube. So there's a lot of different accessories out there. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Buick Encore- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here "etrailer", and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt Class One Trailer hitch receiver on a 2016 Buick Encore. This is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your vehicle, and it is an exposed cross tube so you are gonna be able to see that hitch but it sits really nice underneath the bumper for a still pretty clean look. And overall it looks really good with its black powder coat finish, which is also gonna help keep it looking good for a long time. Being a class one trailer hitch receiver means that your receiver tube opening is gonna be an inch and a quarter, so you're gonna wanna make sure when choosing accessories that you're picking up something that's inch and a quarter. You're gonna be a little bit more limited than your typical two inch, but not to worry there's still plenty of accessories available for it. Now when you put your accessories in place, you're gonna be using a half inch pin and clip to keep that in place. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Buick Encore- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Swagman XC2 bike rack here on a 2021 Buick Encore. So this is what the XC2 looks like installed in the back of our Encore here. And we only got one bike attached, but it should be pretty much the same for two bikes. Now for starters, they're pretty much gonna block your backup camera. You're gonna get some slight visibility between the frame here, but that's gonna be the case for pretty much any bike rack. And then, in regards to the rear windshield here, the rear hatch glass, you're gonna be able to see most, you're gonna be able to retain most of your visibility there. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Buick Encore- Video
Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver here on our 2021 Buick Encore. Now you can see everything has a nice, shiny black powder coated finish, which is gonna do a great job of protecting the hitch from rust and corrosion over time, being that it is on the underside of the vehicle. Adding a trailer hitch on your Encore here, it's gonna be an excellent option because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now we can obviously use the trailer hitch for towing, but if we wanted to free up some space inside the vehicle for those long road trips or we wanted to hit the trails, we could easily attach either hitch mounted bike rack or hitch mounted cargo carrier. If we are gonna be towing, we need to keep in mind that our trailer hitch here has a 3,500 pound gross trailer weight rating. That's the amount we can pull outward on the receiver tube. more

Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be visible, but as you can see, it sits back a little bit and our receiver tube is going to be pretty close to the end of the bumper here, but we're not going to have to worry about hitting our leg because it is just recessed in just a bit.Now it is a Class Two, which means it's going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. And it's going to be great for light duty towing, or if you want to put a bike rack back here, maybe make some room on the inside of your Encore for more passengers for the cargo carrier back here, put all the gear on the outside, but regardless of how you're going to be using it, all of the accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side.Now our hitch is going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. more

So this is going to be really, really helpful when you're going on those long trips and you have a lot of people in your vehicle. So with 18 cubic feet, it's going to be really good to fit a decent amount of duffel bags, a couple of book bags, probably won't fit a golf bag or anything like that, skis and snowboards, probably not, but a lot of cargo, like I said, duffle bags, book bags, at any other small carry on items that you might have.So one thing I noticed whenever I was using a cargo box, a lot of them do open up just from one side. Now our wiring is going to provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector so we can have all the required lights to get our trailer down the road safely, like our running lights, our turn signals, and our stoplights. Now our wiring's not only gonna work for trailers, it is going to work with all accessories that have lights on it like cargo carriers or even a step. It's going to ride all those signals that we can be safe and everyone knows that there's something in the back of our Buick. Now they are going to provide us with a dust cover so we can keep all the dirt, debris and moisture out of there whenever we're not using it. However, our wiring is designed to stay on the inside of the vehicle when we're not using it.And you can see we'll drop it out the hatch and let it lay whenever we do want to use it. more

PTC Custom Fit Cabin Air Filter Installation - 2019 Buick Encore- Video
Rob: Rob here, at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the PTC custom fit charcoal cabin air filter on our 2019 Buick Encore. Now a lot of people don't even realize that their vehicles have a cabin filter, but most new vehicles on the road have one. And what they're going to do is they're going to filter all the air coming into our vehicle, making sure it cleans everything out, all the exhaust fumes, debris on the road, or anything else, and it's going to filter it before it comes through our vents.And again, a lot of people don't even realize they have them, so they do get forgotten about. The manufacturer does recommend that you change, if not check it, at least once a year or every 12,000 miles. Now you do want to double check your owner's manual for a specific time. But if you think about it, our cabin filter's going to do the same thing for your car what a furnace filter does for your house. more

Robert: Robert here at etrailer.com and today, you're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class II Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2019 Buick Encore. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It is going to sit right below the bumper and the cross tube is going to be visible, but it's tucked back a little bit, so the main thing we see is that receiver tube sticking out. Since it is a Class II, it's going to give us 1.25" by 1.25" receiver tube opening.Now, regardless of what you're going to be using it for, if you want to tow a small trailer, put a bike rack in there, or even maybe a smaller cargo carrier in to make some more room, we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side. Now it is going to accept a standard 1/2" pin and clip. Now these are not included with the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are secure.Now, if you are going to be doing some light-duty towing, this keep in mind, there are specific draw bars that are made for this hitch, and you can find those here at etrailer.com, and again those are sold separately. more

What these are gonna do for you, these are gonna insure that your windshield is gonna be clear during those rainy, snowy, and icy conditions. Keep in mind that on this vehicle, we're gonna have two different size windshield wiper blades, so make sure that you use our fit guide to get the correct sizes.Our blade's gonna have a nice rubber cover on it. It's not only going to protect all of the moving parts inside, but if you notice the aerodynamic design on it, it's gonna have a little bit of a wing here. Now one of the things I really like about this hitch is how far back our safety chain loop plate sits. Now, this box is going to allow us to get our gear out of our vehicle and free up space for passengers and pets or more gear. Now, the rooftop box is a great option compared to having to use your trailer hitch for a cargo carrier or even a trailer. Thule Roof Box Review - 2015 Buick Encore- Video
Today on our 2015 Buick Encore we're gonna be doing a test fit of Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box. This box is gonna allow us to free up space inside of our Encore for more passengers, pets, or more gear. This is a great option rather than having to use a trailer hitch to carry a cargo carrier or haul around a trailer. We can carry all of our gear right on top of our roof. Now it's very similar to a roof mounted basket except that this is gonna offer us more security and protection from the elements. Now with it installed, I got it attached to an after market roof rack system that's mounted to our flush mount rails. more

Today on our 2018 Buick Encore, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the T1 vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector. This is what our wiring kit looks like installed. As you can see we have more than enough length here to stretch out to our trailer. This is going to give you all your necessary functions including brakes, running lights, left blinker and right blinker. You don't have to cut or splice into your factory harness. It's simply plug and play. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Buick Encore- Video
Today on our 2018 Buick Encore, we're going to be installing the draw tight class two inch and a quarter trailer hitch receiver. The receiver opening is an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter. That's going to be perfect for carrying things like bike racks, cargo carriers, or even light duty trailers. There is some pretty large openings here, and that's going to accommodate just about any size safety chain you might have, so you shouldn't have to worry about changing your chains. Now the pinhole opening is a half an inch. Now the actual pin and clip itself is not included with the hitch, but you can pick one up on etrader.com. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Buick Encore - Draw-Tite- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Buick Encore we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class II Custom Fit trailer hitch receiver, part number 36554.Here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is gonna sit right below the bumper, but it is gonna blend in nicely at the bottom here, and the main think we're gonna see is that receiver tube sticking out. Now it is a Class II hitch, so it's gonna offer us an 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great for bike racks or cargo carriers.The way we're gonna mount that or any of our other accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side, and it is gonna accept a standard half inch pin and clip. Although they're not included in our kit, you can pick it up here at etrailer.com using part number PC2.The safety chain connection points are gonna be a plate style bolted to the bottom of the receiving tube and the cross tube, and as you can see, we're gonna have plenty of room to get most sized hooks on or off, and the long oblong hole is gonna be nice because it's not gonna interfere too much with our pin and clip, or if we add a locking device. As far as the weight capacity goes, we're gonna have a 300 pound tongue weight, it's gonna be the maximum downward force at the receiver tube. It's also gonna have a 3500 pound gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull, including the trailer, and everything we have loaded on it. more

Titan Chain Diamond Alloy Snow Tire Chains Review - 2017 Buick Encore- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Buick Encore, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, with a diamond pattern and square link. Part number TC1553. That's tire size 215 55 R18.These chains feature a diamond pattern, compared to other chains that have a ladder pattern. They're going to give us more tire coverage, which means more traction. Another feature that separates this chain from the rest is, it has an integrated tensioner. This helps keep the chain nice and snug around the tire while we're on the road. more

You can see we have plenty of extra to get to our trailer. This is gonna give you all the proper lighting functions you're gonna need. You got your taillights, your brake lights, your turn signals, and your ground. It's also gonna come with a dust cap to help keep moisture and the elements off of all of your connections, to help keep from corroding.This wiring does live inside of the vehicle. You wanna make sure, when it's in use, you run it over the top of this rubber seel here, stay away from any connection points. more

Part number is C56363.Now, when it's time to use your wiring, you're gonna pull up the tray, here, in the floor. You'll have it located right down here in the storage compartment. You'll pull out whatever length you'll need to make the connection to your trailer. That's gonna rest right over top of that weather stripping when we close the door. That's gonna give us the protection and keep it from pinching it. more
