Today on our 2009 Mercury Mariner, we're gonna take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tight custom fit class 3 trailer hitch receiver, offering the 2" by 2" opening, the part number is 75751. This is what our hitch is going to look like installed. You'll see we've got our main cross tube; it's going to be rounded, it comes down, meets here in the middle at the receiver tube opening. A little bit of a gap there, between the bottom of the fascia and the top of that receiver tube. Here you'll see the rounded style reinforcement collar around the end and our safety chain connection points here. This has an oval-shaped hole in them, should have plenty of room there to get safety chains or whatever else connected you might need to. This is a class 3 hitch, so this is an extremely versatile hitch: cargo carriers, bike racks. To secure all of those items in place, we're going to be using the pin hole that's closest to the front of the vehicle. more

Husky Cargo Floor Liner Review - 2008 Mercury Mariner

All right, today on a 2008 Mercury Mariner, we're going to show you Husky Liner's classic custom cargo liner in gray, part number HL23142. Constructed from a thermal plastic material which is actually resistant to oil, gas and even battery acid. We have it in the back for a Mariner here and one thing to note, we have ours just out of the box, basically with it sit down to sunk for about 10 minutes and this is what it looks like when it fits in there. Now, right off the bat you'll see that it doesn't quite match the edges or contour of the vehicle. Once it gets completely warmed up it will actually mold itself to the shape of the vehicle a little bit better than what it is now. First off, this has got a raised edge just like this, it goes all around the perimeter of the floor liner. It also matches up to the contour of the panel on the interior here. You'll notice it doesn't come all the way through because it does accommodate for plastic here as well, so it actually follows the line of the carpet. more

We'll begin our test fit by placing the liner into the cargo area of the vehicle and adjusting to fit around the vehicle's contours. You can see here that there's a raised containment walls that help keep spills and debris on the liner and off of your carpet. You'll notice the ribs here in the liner to help channel fluids and debris away from the central area to the outer edges of the liner. If you look here at each corner of the liner, there are already designated locations that you will need to trim just slightly to allow you to use your factory tie downs. This liner is constructed of a rubberized thermo-plastic material that will not crack or break over time and it also withstands most hazardous chemicals such as oil, gas, and even battery acid. This liner is super easy to clean. more
