etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Dodge Journey- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we are installing the etrailer.com Class 3 trailer hitch receiver on a 2019 Dodge Journey. So one of the things you'll first notice while looking at the hitch installed is the fact that it is an exposed cross tube, which simply means that you can actually see the hitch portion hanging down below the fascia. And overall it does look pretty good with its nice black powder coat finish and that's going to keep it nice and sturdy and robust and also hold up to the weather over time. One other thing you're going to notice is the two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver opening and this is going to be great for a number of different accessories. Your two inch by two inch is the most common for your bike cracks, cargo carriers, ball mounts whatever it may be. more

And this is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium platform-style bike rack.So today on our Journey, we have the rack that can hold up to a total of two bikes, but if you don't need to carry two, there's a one bike version available as well.Now what really separates this platform-style rack from many of the others is how it's going to secure your bike. It's going to use two-wheel hooks. So one on the back tire and one on the front tire.And it's pretty unique. A lot of the other platform racks only use one wheel hook and usually a small strap or something like that here in the back. So, with two hooks, it's going to do a great job of keeping your bike secure.And because of that design, we're able to do something pretty cool. more

Kind of spread those pleats apart, you can see all that dirt and dust and debris. The cabin air filter is going to catch that and prevent you from breathing that in. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Dodge Journey- Video
Rob: How's it going everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com. And today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt T-Connector vehicle wiring harness on our 2014 Dodge Journey. Now our Curt T-Connector harness is going to provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector. That way we can have all the required lights when we're towing our trailer to get down the road legally and safely, like our taillights, our turn signals and our stoplights. One thing I do want to mention about our wiring is that it does not come with the brackets to mount it up. Here we're using a four-pole bracket as well as a short no-drill bracket because we didn't have any spots on our hitch. more

But however, there is an upside of that, and that's going to be a little more user-friendly, it's going to be easier to use. It's going to take less effort to get any of our accessories connected or disconnected. Since this is a class 3 hitch, it's going to have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and it's also going to have a reinforced collar for a little extra strength. It's also going to have a 5/8" size pin hole, which does accept the standard 5/8" pin and clip, which does not come included. more

You simply just put it in, and set it down into place. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Dodge Journey- Video
Today on our 2016 Dodge Journey we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a four pole flat trailer connector.Here's what our wiring looks like once we have it installed. It is gonna stay on the outside of the vehicle, so it will be close by our hitch whenever we need it. It's gonna provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector so we have all the required lights to get safely down the road, like our taillights, turn signals, and our brake lights. We can use the dust cover to attach it to our safety chain loops so it'll take up some of the slack and we don't have to worry about it dragging. But if you want more of a permanent solution to mount it, we do have brackets available here at etrailer.com. Our wiring is custom designed so it's made specifically for our Journey that has LED taillights. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Journey, you're going to be taking a look at, and we're going to show you how to install the eTrailer Class III custom fit trailer hitch receiver. So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it fully installed. It's going to sit right below the bumper, and it's going to give us a 2" receiver tube opening, so we're going to have a really wide variety of options when we mount up any kind of accessories.Now, the way we're going to mount any of those accessories is to the hitch pin hole here on the side, and it is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. Now these aren't included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure. Now if you plan on doing some towing, the safety chain connection point is going to be a plate style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. You can see we'll have plenty of room to get most sized hooks on or off.Now as far as weight capacity, our hitch is going to have a 400 pound tongue weight, which is going to be the maximum downward force to the receiver tube, along with a 4,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. more

First off, we'll give you a brief summary.As far as appearance goes, we found the Draw-Tite hitch, which is hidden behind the fascia to be the clear winner here because it is the most hidden and offers the most appealing look on our vehicle. As far as recreational use goes, we found the Draw-Tite hitch that's hidden behind the fascia to be the winner here because it does offer the most ground clearance and the hitch pin hole is the furthest away from the back bumper.As far as towing goes, we found the Draw-Tite hitch which is visible underneath the bumper to be the winner here because it does support the use of weight distribution and it does have the additional mounting bracket already included on it. It's one less thing we have to worry about purchasing. more

Speaker 1: Today in this 2017 Dodge Journey, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the e-trailer.com class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number E98845. Here's what the hitch looks like installed.What's great about this hitch is that we have plenty of clearance around the receiver, so it makes this a great hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers. We don't have to worry about any interference with the rear fascia, and we run much less of a risk of scratching it as we're installing our accessory.Now this hitch fits nicely around our spare tire, so we can still use our spare tire if needed, without having any interference from the hitch.Compared to some other options out there, this hitch also doesn't require any cutting or trimming of the rear fascia in order for it to fit. Makes your install a little bit easier.This hitch also features a very unique finish compared to other hitches out there. It has a carbide matte black powder coat finish, which is very durable, and highly scratch resistant. So as we're installing accessories into our receiver, we don't have to worry about scratching it. more
