Now a rooftop basket is a great way to expand the cargo space of your vehicle without necessarily adding to like the hitch for the back of your vehicle. The hitch does require cutting on this vehicle, so maybe you don't wanna get a hitch. You don't wanna make permanent modifications to your car or you have the hitch and it's otherwise occupied with something like a bike rack or a small camper. The roof is the next best place to get that extra gear or luggage out of your car and to your destination safely. more

The JayLow is a J-style kayak carrier which means it's a bit more compact compared to saddle style kayak carriers. I know you have a lot of cargo space there in your Q7, but what if you wanna use your third row of seats You then lose out on that cargo space, or if you wanna carry items that are a little bulky, a little large like skis and snowboards, it's so much easier to put them onto your roof rather than finding a spot for them in your backseat, that's where rooftop cargo box like this can come in handy. This is the Thule Force XT L, you can actually get the slightly larger size which is the XL and still be able to open up your hatch and see your window, and we'll take those measurements here in this video. Why would we need the Stealth Hitch Tiwing Kit Well, let's say we, we purchased the hitch with the receiver tube on it for bike racks and cargo carriers, that one's not designed for towing. In my opinion, rather than getting the receiver tube for bike racks and cargo carriers, and then later on down the road behind the ball mount and the wiring, if you have any thought in your mind that you're ever gonna tow just buy the kit. You get the kit that comes with everything in it, because you do have to remove your fascia to put the hitch on and you will have to remove the fascia to put the wiring on. So it's better to do it all at one time, cut out this bottom section one time, reinstall it all when it's all done, and then you're finished. more

And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. The cross tube is going to be hidden behind the bumper, so you're only will see the receiver tube here at the back. It's a class 3, two inch by two inch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your towing needs, whether you want to place a bike rack in, hit the trails, or if you want to hook up a small trailer and take some equipment with you to the campsite. It uses a 5/8 inch, hitch pin and clip. more

And the option on the right is the one from Tekonsha. And in most svac's these wiring harnesses are going to be basically identical but there are a very minor differences between them and we'll cover those now.This is our Tekonsha harness, and as you can see, the module is relatively small which is nice to be able to fit it into smaller areas. Versus our Curt here, which is quite a bit larger.As you can see here on our 2014 Audi Q7 we've got the smaller Tekonsha module installed and we're able to take our wiring and tuck it all up into the little compartment behind our tail light. more

Hi there, Audi owners. Today we're going to be taking a look at the best vehicle wiring options for our 2018 Audi Q7. Here we have our two best wiring options. The option on the left is the one from Tekonsha. And in most aspects, these wiring harnesses are going to be basically identical, but there are a few minor differences between them and we'll cover those now.This is our Tekonsha harness, and as you can see, the module is relatively small, which is nice to be able to fit it into smaller areas, versus our Curt here, which is quite a bit larger.As you can see here on our 2014 Audi Q7, we've got the smaller Tekonsha module installed and we're able to take our wiring and tuck it all up into the little compartment behind our tail light. Whereas if we we're using our Curt the Curt itself would take up just about all the space inside of our compartment here, leaving no place for our wiring, which would require us to have to route it into another location and store it somewhere else, making a lot more work for us.I will say, however, the Curt does have a higher output at 5 amps on the stop turn circuit while our Tekonsha only has 4.2 amps on the stop turn. more

As you can see here on our 2014 Audi Q7, we've got the smaller Tekonsha module installed and we're able to take our wiring and tuck it all up into the little compartment behind our tail light.Whereas if we we're using our Curt, the Curt itself would take up just about all the space inside of our compartment here, leaving no place for our wiring which would require us to have to route it into another location and store it somewhere else, making a lot more work for us.I will say, however, the Curt does have a higher output at five amps on the stop-turn circuit while our Tekonsha only has 4.2 amps on the stop-turn.They both offer 7.5 amps on the tail lights, so if you need that higher output for your stop and turn circuits on your trailer, if you've got a lot of lights, big light bars through your tail light assemblies, then the Curt may be the better option for you.Other than that, our harnesses are basically identical. They're going to have the same outputs to make the connections to your vehicle. You're going to get length of wire to run it to your battery. You'll have your fuse protection and they're both going to come with quick splices, zip ties, and sticky pads to get everything mounted up.Regardless of which module you choose, you will have to quick splice your wiring into your existing wiring on your vehicle. more
