Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Nissan Versa

Today on our 2011 Nissan Versa we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Here's what our wire's going to look like once we have it installed. It is going to provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector so we have all the lights to safely get down the road, like our taillights, turn signals, and our brake lights. Now, whenever we're not using our wiring, it is designed to stay on the inside of the car at all times so we can just bundle it up and keep it wrapped inside by our spare tire. When we do want to use it, we'll pull out the slack, drop it down by our hitch. So long as we stay away from the actual latch mechanism, the wire will have enough cushion on the weather stripping here where it won't get damaged. Now, the nice thing about our wiring is that it is going to be custom designed for our Nissan. We're not going to have to cut or splice into any of the factory wires. more

As you'll notice about this hitch, it's tucked up nice and tight against our fascia giving us the most ground clearance possible, which is great because this car is fairly low to the ground. Now even though our hitch rests up tight against the bottom of the fascia we still have plenty of clearance around our receiver opening, which makes this a great hitch to use with your bike racks and your cargo carriers. On the side of our receiver you'll find our industry standard 1/2 inch diameter hitch pin hole, which you can use to secure your hitch mounted accessories with a pin and clip, which we have available separately on our website as part number PC2. On the bottom of our receiver are rolled steel safety chain loops. What's great about these is even if you have a very large diameter safety chain hook like this one, you can still clip on and clip off easily.
