How to Install the RoadMaster Falcon Tow Bar on a 2014 Nissan Versa

Today on our 2014 Nissan Versa, you're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain nonbinding tow bar, part number RM-522. This is what our Falcon all-terrain tow bar looks like mounted on our vehicle. It's going to be one of five main components in a flat -tow setup. The other four are going to be your safety cables, your wiring, your braking system, and your base plate. One of the nice things about the all-terrain is it's a nonbinding tow bar, which means if your vehicle or your motor home is on level ground you can still connect or disconnect your tow bar to your base plate. It's going to have integrated channels for your wiring and for your safety cables. This is really going the help when traveling to help keep everything up off the ground. The arms are going to lock into the out position when towing your vehicle.

And when you want to unlock them, you simply lift the lever and it allows you to slide your arm back in. We can store the all-terrain on the back of our RV. It's going to lock into place. We simply put our arms together, lift, and it's going to lock inside this little plate. We have the option to store it in the upright position, to one side or the other, or with our arms apart. With your tow bar, you're going to get a quick disconnect bar.

In it you're going to have two plates that look like this with mounting hardware. You are going to have a sticker that's going to tell you which side to mount it on. And it's also going to come with instructions telling you how to mount it. You want to make sure when you put your bolts in, you tighten and torque them to the specifications.Once you get those installed, simply slide your quick disconnect bar into place, place in your locking pins, unlock your tow bar by simply pulling out on the plate, separate your arms. You're going to slide it out, and you're going to line up that hole in the center here with the other two holes.

Once you get them lined up, insert your pin, lock it into place.Your safety cables on your RV side, after you run them through your channel, you're going to make sure that they are criss-crossed. So your driver's side of RV should be going to the passenger's side on the car. That'll do it for a look at the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain nonbinding tow bar for number RM-522 on the 2014 Nissan Versa.
