The tire hold HD is a heavy duty bike carrier that's gonna work for your heavier e-bikes up to 80 pounds each, and for any of your specialty bikes like carbon fiber frames, unconventional step-through bikes, or something that has a fancy paint job where you wanna have no contact to the frame. Let's take a look at the tilt feature that's included on our bike carrier, and see what type of access it allows us to our hatch area. And I'm just gonna, yeah, so I'd just give it a little bit 'cause we come kind of close with our handlebars, but overall it would, you still have really great access to the back of your vehicle, so that is something to consider as well. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Redarc Liberty Brake Controller on a 2024 Subaru Outback. Our neighbor today has a Subaru Outback, and they tow a trailer that does have brakes on it. And so to keep that trailer from pushing the Subaru around on the road, having a brake controller is going to be key. And when it comes to brake controllers predominantly, you probably think of something that mounts up underneath the dash, and that you can hit your knees on, and in trucks, those work out fine, 'cause generally, the dash is a little bit higher. But on something like this, there's not a whole lot of room, and it's gonna be getting in the way. And that's where the Redarc really comes into play. more

Today, we have a 2024 Subaru Forester, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how easy it is to install this CURT Four-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness. So if you've got a trailer hitch on your Subaru Forester and you're wanting to start pulling trailers with it, first off, you will want to check with your owner's manual, see what your vehicle's capable of pulling. And then second off, you'll want to add four-pole wiring. The four-pole wiring is gonna give your four lighting functions, which are going to be your stop and turn signals and your running light signals. That's going to safely transfer from the back of your vehicle to your trailer lights to let others know what your intentions are when you're going down the road. more

etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Subaru Legacy- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Subaru Legacy. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Legacy and it's a very clean look. This bolts into the frame rails of the vehicle or at least the channeling of it. So really the structural part is all hidden behind the rear fascia, giving you a nice clean look with the only thing visible being the receiver tube opening. Now this one is gonna be a 2 inch by 2 inch, which is kind of the standard size for a lot of different accessories, which is really good 'cause you're gonna have tons of options when it comes to ball mounts, bike racks or cargo carriers. Either way, all those are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. more

Before we do that though, let's take a minute, check this out, and make sure it's gonna be the right hitch for you. So when it comes to these Crosstreks, there's a lot of different hitches available for it. And to be honest with you, I usually recommend the larger two inch-by-two inch hitches. They're just a little more versatile, but that's not to say a hitch like this doesn't have its place or might be right for you. more

etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek- Video
Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the etrailer Class III two inch hitch receiver. Adding the two inch hitch receiver to the back of your Crosstrek is gonna give you a lot of different options for accessories. You're gonna be able to put two inch bike racks in there, cargo carriers, ball mounts if you wanna pull a small trailer. If you plan on pulling a trailer, I'd highly recommend installing your four-pole wiring while you're doing your hitch, just so that you only have to tear into your vehicle one time. This hitch is gonna have a triple carbide black powder coat finish, which we have seen to prove that it's a very, very tough paint job. more

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima roof rack system with the core bars on top of our 2023 Subaru Legacy. Now, this is gonna be a great option for you since the legacy is a smaller car. So if you're gonna be running out of space, you're gonna be able to store things on top of your car, whether that be luggage, kayaks, or even skis. So let's take a closer look at it. Our system's gonna be made above three components today and the first one is gonna be our 50 inch core bars. Now, the way these are gonna work, they're gonna have this arrow shape to them, so that's gonna help them be more aerodynamic, helping them reduce that wind noise. more

Inno Gravity Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Gravity Ski and Snowboard Carrier, and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2024 Subaru Outback. So this style of carrier, a lot of people like because it's gonna be a lot smaller and less expensive than something like a rooftop box. Sure, your skis and snowboards will not be enclosed like they would be with a box, but let's say the place you're going has a parking garage, you're not adding near as much height to your vehicle. So for those low clearance situations, you don't have to worry about it as much, and it's a lot easier to just keep in storage in the off season because this can go on a shelf in your garage much easier than a large 16 cubic foot box. more

Kuat Grip Slide Out Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here at etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Grip Skiing Snowboard Carrier, and seeing how it fits on the roof of our 2024 Subaru Outback. Now it's important to note that we are using the factory roof rack on the Outback and that's great because it already comes with your vehicle. You might as well utilize it, and with how close it sits to the roof, you just wanna know right away that it's gonna work. These thinner factory bars don't always work the best with certain rooftop accessories, but this one is great because the bands are thin and low profile, and adjustable so they can get nice and snug on there, and you don't have to worry about it shifting around on your roof. The other benefit to this style of carrier for your skis and snowboards is that it's much more low profile, and generally is going to be less expensive than something like a rooftop box, which a lot of people like for skis, and snowboards. more

Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we'll be taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Box and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2024 Subaru Outback. Now, if you're looking to expand the cargo space of your Outback and you want to utilize that factory roof rack since you already have it, the SkyBox is gonna be a great way to do it, and there's a number of reasons for that. For one, it's a pretty sizable box, giving you 16 cubic feet of storage space. But two, the factory roof rack sits really close to the top of the roof on your Outback, and that can present problems for certain clamp round accessories just not having the room or maybe making contact with that painted surface on your roof. The low-profile clamps on the SkyBox are gonna work great with your factory bars on your Outback, making it, in my opinion, the perfect solution. more
