Now, this particular carrier can hold up to four pairs of skis or two snowboards. Depending on the exact width of your gear, you might find that you can fit maybe a little bit more, maybe a little bit less, but generally that's what will fit in here. Now, right off the bat, this is gonna be a great bike rack for your heavy bikes, because you have a 70 pound weight capacity, but you also have some other fun features that just make it a bit more compatible with those heftier bikes. One big example is gonna be how this rack tilts away. Now, the Durango has a pretty large hatch, which means you need a pretty decent amount of clearance in order to open up that hatch. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima Skinny Warrior Rooftop Basket on our 2023 Dodge Durango. Now, the Durango model that I have here comes with the factory roof rails, but this roof rack would work if you have the naked roof as well, adding a roof rack to your vehicle is gonna allow you to increase your cargo area by taking advantage of the negative space on top of your vehicle so you can get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you for your journey. So let's take a closer look at our rooftop carrier. Now, from the front of this guy you're gonna see you have a plastic fairing that's gonna allow you to basically cut down your wind resistance, and it helps with noise from going down the road. Our whole construction is black powder coated steel, and that's gonna hold up against the elements, you know, so if you're in those cold climates and also in those very hot environments, this is gonna keep the roof basket from, you know, breaking down on you over time. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Rhino Rack Rooftop Basket on our 2024 Dodge Durango. One thing that you can notice here, when you add a roof basket to the top of your vehicle, you can see that you're gonna be able to take advantage of the negative space on top of your car. Now, one thing that I generally point out in my test fits because I'm trying to give you an idea how it fits on your Durango. If you have the factory bars, it's gonna work fine. However, if you do have a naked roof, this guy's gonna work well unless you have the Rhino Rack Extreme Crossbars. So we're just gonna take a closer look at the carrier itself, starting at the front and you can see that you have an included plastic fairing. more

Now what you may notice right off the bat is how it's holding your bike. And the name kind of gives you a hint that it is a wheel-mounted bike carrier. It just applies pressure on your wheels downward onto the cradle to keep it stabilized as you're going down the road. We are gonna get into some more details about the tire hold itself, but more specifically we're gonna see how it works on the back of our Durango. And as you can see, as far as being fully loaded, it sits up pretty high, and it's gonna block out your backup camera, it's gonna obstruct your license plate and it's gonna block some of your taillights and your backup lights. more

What you may notice right away is how your bike is mounted. This is actually a wheel-mounted carrier where you're gonna have two arms that help stabilize the bike within the carrier. So we're gonna take a little bit closer look at how the Piston Pro X fits on the back of the Durango. As you can see, with one bike, you're blocking out a lot of stuff as far as your backup camera, your license plate would be obstructed if you had another frame here, your backup sensors as well. One thing that is kinda cool is that your tail lights are gonna illuminate through your spokes, so you'll have pretty good visibility. more

Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline right here at etrailer, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at how the RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Out Bike Rack fits on the 2021 Dodge Durango. So the AfterParty is gonna be a dual-wheel mount rack with a high weight capacity for heavy electric bikes. It's pretty much the same as the RockyMounts Guide Rail, but it has an extra feature which is that this can swing out towards the passenger side. Now some things on the Durango, especially with this hitch receiver, is that this is gonna have a lot of height compared to other bike racks. So if you do have a 60-pound bike, that's something you have to consider is that you have to lift that up and onto this rack. more

Fit Check: Testing Inno Tire Hold HD Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes on a 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey there, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold HD two bike platform rack for your heavy electric bikes and we'll see how it fits here on our 2021 Dodge Durango. So the HD is gonna be really good for those heavy bikes with a weight capacity of 80 pounds per bike. Awesome, very impressive. Now for a Durango though, there are some things you're gonna have to consider with this vehicle. The first one is that it's gonna be really high up off the ground, so I highly recommend grabbing the Inno Tire Hold ramp that's sold separately, add-on accessory that instead of having to lift the bikes up and onto the rack, you can then just ramp them down. The second thing is that your tilt away functions you do lose out on with this car. more

Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2022 Dodge Durango. The GuideRail is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to two bikes with an individual weight capacity for 60 pounds each. Our two main points of contact are going to be these ratcheting lever arms, one for the front tire and one for the back tire. And what those two things basically mean together is that our heavier electric E-bikes, our carbon frame bikes and our alternative frame bikes are all going to work with this platform, which is really nice that we can carry a big variety of bikes that cannot only help suit your car but also whatever bike that you have. The GuideRail does also have a tilt away feature where we're just going to pull the lever located at the bottom of the rack and then slowly tilt it down allowing us that full hatch access. more

How's it going everyone Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Hitch Bike Rack and we're gonna see how it fits on our 2021 Dodge Durango. It's gonna be a great entry level way to get up to four bikes where you need 'em to go. The Destination 4 will be a platform style bike rack which means it's gonna hold our bike up by the tires here down at the bottom and it's capable of supporting four bikes up to 35 pounds a piece. Primarily gonna hold onto them with this rotating padded clamp here on our center mast. So it does make frame contact and we recommend not using this with carbon frame bikes. It could potentially damage them while we're driving but because we can slide up and down that center mast a little bit and the pads do rotate 180 degrees, then we should be able to accommodate a bunch of different alternative frame style bikes We also have our secondary points of contact being the straps down, one at the front and one at the back wheel. more

How's it going everyone Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination two hitch bike rack. We're gonna see how it fits on our 2021 Dodge Durango. The Destination two is going to be a platform style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 35 pounds a piece. It's gonna be kind of an entry level bike rack so it doesn't have a ton of features, but we'll show you how it works on this vehicle. We're gonna make primary contact here with this center cradle on our center mass. It is going to make frame contact so we definitely recommend avoiding this if you have a carbon frame bike, because it does slide up and down and it rotates 360 degrees. more

Fit Check: Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Bike Rack for 2 Bikes on a 2016 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey guys. Today, we have chosen a '16 Dodge Durango and we're going to test out the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Platform Rack.Now, this is going to be able to haul of the two bikes to and from the trails. It's going to have a great way of securing your bike that's kind of, it's more secure in my opinion than a lot of other bike racks out there. You can see as I'm shaking it, it's just not really moving independently from the bike rack.Our first two points of contact are going to be down here on these hook and loop straps to securing the wheels into their wheel case but really what's securing the bike most is this padded frame hook putting downward force on top of the bike, forcing it down into it's trays. It's got that nice rubber padding that's going to help protect it from, protect your bike frame from any type of scratches or abrasions.Now, let's go ahead and take the bike off and take a closer look. Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Dodge Durango, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Inno Aero Light 4 bike rack, for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. That part number is INH640. Now let's take a closer look at some of the features while we have a bike installed. So right here we're going to see we have a cable lock, an integrated cable lock I should say. We just go and wrap around the frame of your bikes, and then you can insert it into that notch right there. It's going to provide a nice secure feature for your bikes, so that no one can remove them. more

Today on our 2012 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. That part number is RMCB. Now, this is 47" long by 35" wide, and has a 165 pound weight capacity, though you do want to double check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. We've gone ahead and secured down three of our four mounts. We're going to show you how to secure our back passenger side here. I'm going to start by stepping up onto our vehicle. Today on our 2012 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. That part number is C18115. Now this is 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide by four inches deep, and it has a 150-pound weight capacity. You do want to double check your vehicle's owners manual to make sure your vehicle's roof can withstand that much weight. Now we already have three of our four mounts secured down. Fit Check: Testing WeatherTech 2nd Row Rear Auto Floor Mat on a 2013 Dodge Durango- Video
Today in our 2013 Dodge Durango, we'll be having a look at the weather tech second row rear auto floor mat in black, part number WT443242, also available in gray, as part number WT463242 and finally available in tan, as part number WT453242. What I really like about the weather tech floor mats for a second row here is the fact that since they're laser measured, they are a hundred percent exact fit for our vehicle. It's not a universal mat. It's a one piece design and these are really good if you have small children, that ride in your back seat so if they happen to spill something, you don't have to worry about your carpet in your vehicle getting damaged. Here in our second row of our Dodge Durango, as you can see underneath our factory floor mats, there's a lot of dirt and debris underneath them. That's because when people are sitting here in the back row, sometimes they kick the floor mat up underneath the driver seat like so. With a weather tech mat, that we're going to be installing here today, you can see how we'll get full complete coverage underneath our backseat and that won't happen here anymore. Let's go ahead and take our factory floor mats out on both sides. more

Fit Check: Testing WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats on a 2013 Dodge Durango- Video
Today, on our 2013 Dodge Durango, we'll be having a look at the WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats in black, part number WT444851, also available in gray as part number WT464851, and available in tan as part number WT454851. I really like these WeatherTech floor mats because they fit very nicely in our vehicle because of that laser measurement that WeatherTech does when they design these mats. It's not a universal floor mat; it's made specifically to fit our vehicle. It's made of a durable material, and it'll last many years down the road. Now, on the front driver's side here of our Dodge Durango, you can see all this dirt, mud, and stains to our carpet right here. If we had the WeatherTech auto floormat installed in our vehicle, this never would've happened. Let's go ahead and get the factory mat out of here and we'll install the new one. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2008 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2008 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the Tulle Vertex spring-away style of and hanging style for bike rack. That part number is TH9031XT. We already have our bike secured down, first I'm going to show you the main feature of this rack and it's going to be our swing-away feature. Going to start off by removing our T-pin here on the end and we'll save that for later. Going to undo our screw here at the back, want to loosen that completely so that it hangs loosely just like so. We'll pull up on our T-pin here and rotate our bike rack out. When it's about halfway, I'll rotate the front portion so the T-pin inserts into the bracket on the back and I'll keep rotating it out. We want to line up our pinholes here and we'll insert our pin. more

Test Fit: Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes on a 2008 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2008 Dodge Durango, we're doing a test fit of the Swagman XC2 platform style 2 bike rack. That part number is S64650. We already have our bike secured down, so we're first going to show you how we secure it in place. You'll notice we have 2 wheel cradles holding our tires in place, then we have our frame hook, so we're going to have 1 point of contact here that's going to hold that down onto our wheel cradles. To release that, we're just going to squeeze in on the gray button there and lift straight up. Then we'll be able to take our bike off, and we can set it off to the side. One great thing about our wheel cradles here is that they are actually adjustable. You can just loosen up the thumb screws and adjust those how you need to. I'll take a few measurements. more

We're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come here to the back and squeeze our handle together. Today on our 2008 Dodge Durango we'll be taking a look at the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Here we already have it on our vehicle. You'll notice our tie down points all along the cargo carrier. It's going to be all along the edge, which will give you different options when tying down your cargo. more

Husky WeatherBeater Front and Rear Floor Liners Review - 2013 Dodge Durango- Video
Today in our 2013 Dodge Durango, we'll be having a look at the Husky Liners WeatherBeater Custom Auto Floor Liners for the front and rear in black, part number HL99051. They are also available in tan as part number HL99053, and available in gray as part number HL99052. As you can see here for our factory floor mat on our driver's front seat, you can see all the stains and the dirt that's been rubbed into the floor mat. Now if we had the Husky Liner floor mat installed here, we wouldn't have to worry about this. Our floor mat would still be in good condition because it won't have the carpet to have the dirt and stuff embedded into it. It would be a rubberized thermoplastic material, which would be well-protected. We'll go ahead and remove this factory floor mat here. We'll take our mat here, slide it up underneath the pedals. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg-Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is CC-100. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches only and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is lightweight so it's easy to maneuver. We're going to start off with a few measurements here, ground clearance being first. We're going to have about 9-1/2" to the bottom of our bolt. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48 by 21 cargo carrier. That part number is MT70422. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches only and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Now although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is made out of a lightweight aluminum so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. We're going to start off with a few measurements here. Ground clearance being first, we're going to have about 10-3/4" of clearance. more

This is designed to work with 2" hitches, and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance. We've got about 11 1/4" of clearance down there. Overall to our vehicle we're going to have about 32 3/4". more

Today, on our 2014 Dodge Durango, we'll be doing a test fit on the Kuat NV 2.0 Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That's Part Number NV22G. I've already got it loaded up on the Durango just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to work with our bike. it actually secures our bikes into spots. We have this large wheel hook going over our front wheel and putting down pressure into our front wheel cradle. Then we have a rear wheel strap going over our wheel and securing down into the ratchet there. All in all, no from contact with this bike rack. more
