Air Lifr AirCell Custom Helper Springs Kit Installation - 1999 Ford F-250- Video

Air Lifr AirCell Custom Helper Springs Kit Installation - 1999 Ford F-250

Today, on our 1999 Ford F 250, we'll be installing the Air Lift Air Cell Custom Helper Springs, Part Number Al52215. Note, we've already gone ahead and lowered and removed the spare tire to make it easier to access the manufacturer's bump stops. These bump stops are bolted to the frame, one on each side. Noting that each process we do on one side, will get repeated identically on the opposite side. Starting on the driver side, we'll go ahead and spray the bump stop bolt with some spray lubricant because over time it's going to build up with rust, dust, dirt, and debris and can be very difficult to remove the manufacture's hardware over time. Next, we'll go ahead and start removing the nut from the stud. Note, in extreme cases it may be necessary to physically cut the stud from the frame. Now that we've got the stud cut, we're going to go ahead and use our pry bar to break the stud and remove it completely. more

Mount: TruXedo TruXport Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover on a 1998 Ford F-150 and F-250 Light Duty

Alright, today on this 1998 Ford F-250 we are going to install part number TX238601 from TruXedo, their TruXport tonneau cover. Alright, you can see we have our parts all laid out. We have our two side rails here and here, our tonneau cover itself for the front and rear rail, and our clamps and some pads that go in the corners. So we will actually start off with the pads. We are just going to fill this corner right here. It just takes up the gap and keeps it a little more weather tight along the corners. We have one on each side to do. Alright, we will go ahead and take our tonneau cover and we are going to lay it across the front rail towards the cab of the truck. Then we will install one of our side rails. And that just slides right in to the side right here, to this inside track. With the passenger side done we will do the driver side. Now we will even out the side rails on the bed of the truck. Once you have the rails installed, go ahead and slide everything up forward to the cab. Make sure that bottom edge is over the top of the truck here. You might have a little bit of overhang and that will be ok. 1:05 more

Today on this 1998 Ford F-150 we will be installing the fifth wheel rails and brackets part number 50042-6008. We are up underneath the vehicle and we need to do a couple of things in preparation before we can get started. We first want to lower the spare tire and get that out of the way to give us a little bit more working room. Second we need to go ahead and lower the exhaust off of the rear most hanger here and what we are actually going to do is go ahead and unbolt it from the side of the frame. There is two nuts on the inboard side that we need to go ahead and take off. That will allow that to come down. Then after that we just need to remove the heat shield here as well. You will see that there are four screws that are holding that on that need to come down. We also need to remove the forward heat shield as well. With the under body stuff finished we can go ahead and go up inside of the bed and go ahead and set up our front rail here. 01:17 more

Set up: Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 1999 Ford F-150 and F-250 Light Duty

Alright today we are going to install part number 41920 from Draw Tite. We are going to install this on a Ford F250 lite duty version pickup. The hitch will install in these pre existing holes in the frame here. There is also a bracket that needs to be installed at the end of the frame. That goes over the top of the rear set of holes, and there also has to be a hole inside of the bracket that needs to be drilled through the side of the frame. Our next step is going to be going ahead and temporarily bolting this bracket into place. We are going to just use existing hardware. That will just give us a guide for our drill bit to go on through. Okay we drilled out our pilot hole a 1/4 inch, then we will follow it up with a half inch bit. Now we are going to repeat everything for the other side. more
