Redarc RV Solar Panels - Roof Mounted Solar Kit - RED46VR Review

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at Today we take a look at this REDARC 180W Monocrystalline Solar Panel. Now this is 180 watt solar panel that'll use the sunlight to the charge your batteries, and this panel is designed for a fixed mount installation, typically on the roof area of RVs, motor homes, as well as some camper trailers and some four by four vehicle applications. This panel is designed to work with the REDARC Solar Charge Controllers. Also works with the REDARC Dual Input BCDC chargers, and works with the REDARC Manager 30 Battery Management System. All three of those items, we do sell separately on our website.

Now this solar panel is a monocrystalline panel, has the highest efficiency rate, typically in the 15 to 20 percent range. And this high efficiency rate means that they produce more power per square foot, and are therefore very space efficient. Does use a nice tempered glass coating, has a nice anodized aluminum frame to withstand harsh road and weather conditions. And the mounting brackets to install this are sold separately, we do list them on the product page. I did want to zoom in and show you the very back.

In the back here, they have the junction box right here, and then you have your two cables coming out. Has the MC4 connectors on it, the length of these cables is about 35 inches. And these MC4 connectors provide a nice quick and easy setup, they'll plug into your solar controller. And these parts are manufactured to CD standards. Now, a few dimensions on this, the length from this end to this end is 58 and one sixteenths inches long.

The width from the top to the very bottom here is 26 and three eighths inches wide, and the depth of this panel is only about one and three eighths inches. Total weight on it is about 23 and a half pounds. You spectrum this, the rated peak powers is 180 Watts, maximum power current is nine amps, maximum power voltage, 20 volts, and the operating temperature of this panel is negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit up to a 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Now this is the hundred and 80 watt version. We do also selling 50 watt panel, an 80 watt panel, 120 watt, and then even a larger 200 watt panel and all four of those panels we also sell separately on our website.

But that should do it for the review on this REDARC, 180 watt monocrystalline solar panel..
