PTC Air Intake Filter - Factory Box Replacement Filter - 351PA5267 Review

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this PTC Custom Fit Engine Air Filter. This is going to replace the existing air filter in your vehicle to help improve your vehicle's performance, and while this is a custom fit, it is going to fit a wide range of vehicles, including many late '90s and early 2000s Audis and Volkswagens. We do have a vehicle fit guide here etrailer.com, so you'll select your year, make, and model, and we'll let you know which products will work for you. So go ahead and use that, make sure that this is going to be a correct fit, but if it is, this is gonna do a great job of helping to protect your engine from debris and help to improve airflow. They have these embossed paper pleats here that are going to prevent harmful dirt and debris from entering your engine, so that can help increase your airflow to the engine, which will then obviously improve acceleration and mileage as more oxygen is put into that mix for combustion.

This does have a seal on the outside that's going to prevent air from going around the folds, it's gonna make sure that everything is going through there, it's gonna have a nice strong seal between the filter and your air intake box. It's very, very easy to get this installed in your engine's air filter housing, you definitely don't need to pay a mechanic or anybody to do it for you, you can do it on your own. And for those of you who are needing a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for your vehicle, this is gonna be an exact replacement for the part numbers that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual or when you pull out the current filter, if you see any of those numbers anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need. The manufacturer does recommend changing this filter every 12,000 to 15,000 miles, depending on the area that you live in.

If you are on a gravel road or in a really dusty environment, you might wanna switch it out more frequently than that, but this is definitely one of the simplest things you can do to help maintain your vehicle. just pull out the original, put this one in its place, and you'll be ready to go, making sure that your engine is getting all the air that it needs and keeping all that dust and debris out. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
