Review of Convert-A-Ball Pintle Hitch AMPC3

Today we're going to be taking a look at the converter ball cushioned adjustable pintle mounting bar for two-inch hitches. This unit provides a mounting area for your pintle hook. That way, you can easily tow your trailer. Your pintle hook and mounting hardware are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. The shank, that would be this portion here that slides into the hitch, this is cushioned, so the interior is cushioned to protect the tow vehicle's drive line and hitch assembly as well as the trailers contents. There's going to be a polyurethane interior that acts as a shock absorber, which is going to produce bounce and vibration. This can be used in either the rise position, or the drop position, whatever position works best for you and your setup to ensure a level towing setup.

It installs easily. This portion right here, again, slides into a two-inch by two-inch hitch and attaches or secures in the hitch with a standard five-eighth inch diameter hitch pin or hitch lock. Those items are sole separately, so if you're in need of that, you can find them at etrailer.com as well. The unit itself is constructed of a durable steel construction with a black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. It's made in the USA.

It is designed for two-inch by two-inch trailer hitch receivers. It's going to offer a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds with a tow weight capacity of 2,000 pounds. A few measurements that I want to mention for you real quick. I took a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the plate, and when I did that, I got a measurement of around six and one-eighth of an inch. From the back of the plate to the center of the hitch pin hole, I got a measurement of around five and five-eighths of an inch. That means that that plate right there has a thickness of right around a half of an inch.

It's a nice durable design. It's got the welded on support bar right here. When it comes to the hole spacing, going side to side this direction, all the holes are going to be separated on center by about three and three-eighths of an inch apart. Going this direction, our holes are going be separated on center up and down by about one and three-quarter inches apart. When it comes to that mounting plate, it's going to have an overall height measurement, bottom to top of nine inches, and then, side to side this direction, it's going to give us a width measurement of right around five inches. That's going to do it for today's look at the converter ball cushioned adjustable pintle mounting bar for two-inch hitches..
