Review of CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors CM10900

Today were going to review part number CM10900. This is the CIPA custom towing mirrors. These are the slip-on design, and this part number includes the drivers and the passenger side mirrors. These are custom fit. They are designed to fit the 2007 to 2013 Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC trucks. What I would recommend is to go to our website, and on the product page for this part number at the bottom of the page, it would list the years and model of vehicles that this will fit on. It will also show the styles of mirrors that its designed to work on. These towing mirrors will slip right over your factory side-view mirrors to extend your line of sight.

This allows you to safely and easily change lanes to pass, and even to park while towing a trailer. They do have a manually adjustable mirror face right here that you can push to adjust it. This will let you customize your view. The mirrors are aerodynamically shaped, and they do install with a tight fit to help prevent vibration and wind noise. They are slip-on mirrors so theyll maintain the aerodynamics of your factory mirrors. They use these felt-covered wedges, which Im going to show you how they install here in a minute.

This will lock them securely and hold the slip-on mirrors in place. Again, these are custom designed for your vehicle. These add-on towing mirrors will not obstruct your factory mirrors, and they will not interfere with adjustments to the factory mirrors. Again, with these pieces here, theyll install with no tools. These pieces are made of an ABS plastic, and a polypropylene plastic, and it comes with some nice illustrated instructions that are included. Helps install Very simple installation. The mirror housings themselves are made of a durable ABS plastic, and the mirror face is a scratch resistant face. This part number does include both the drivers side and the passenger side mirror.

Just wanted to give you a dimension on them. The dimensions are the same on both mirrors, so Im going to measure one to show you. The length from this edge to here is going to be about 18. The measurement on the mirror face itself is going to be roughly, right about 4-1/2 wide and about 6 tall. As I mentioned, both of these have the same dimensions. The way they would install This part number actually includes the passenger side, which is this one here, its part number 10902.

It also includes the drivers side, which is this one here, part number 10901. Basically, what you will do is it comes with the pieces of felt. The narrower piece of felt will install It has a sticky tape that you pull off and it sticks on. On the very inside here, the instructions will tell you theres an area that says, Foam tape. Right there in that boxed area is where youll attach this thinner felt strip. It goes right in there. The reason youd do that is this felt strip will help protect it between the factory mirror and this slip-on mirror so it doesnt scratch up your mirror. With the wider piece of felt, would attach to the wedge. Again, you pull the sticky tape off and attach it to the wedge, and again, when this wedge is slid in, this felt part will be up against the factory mirror so it keeps it from getting scratched. You do the same on the other one. Once thats all ready to go, what youll do, is the back of this wedge youll see has a little cup area designed in there. What that does is it will slide in. When this mirror slides onto your factory mirror, there will be a little opening right here, right where these slots are. Thats for the wedge to go right in, so you just slide that wedge in. What youll do is line that cup area of the wedge right up with the hole right here, and then youll take the threaded thumb wheel and go ahead and put that in and tighten that down when its on the mirror. What will happen is as you do that, its going to push out this wedge, just like that, and itll form a nice, tight, fit between your slip-on mirror and the factory mirror to keep it from moving at all. Youll do the same on the other mirror, the installations the same way. That should do it for the review on part number CM10900. This is the CIPA custom towing mirrors. They are slip-on design, and they are for the drivers side and the passenger side of your vehicle. .
