Is Curt Class III 13138 Receiver Hitch Compatible- 2001 Ford Ranger w/Step Side Bed

Hi there, I own a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT single cab with the step side bed. I have read a few reviews stating this hitch does NOT line up with the rear bumper holes because of the step side bed vs normal bed? |
