Question:

I have a 2015 Silverado 2500 HD Extended cab that I am putting a tonneau cover on. It will be very dark under there so I will be looking for lights. What I need to know is whether there is access to a source of always oninch 12V anywhere under the bed?

For your 12V power under your tonneau, I recommend the Extang B-Light LED Lighting System for Truck Beds - Hardwired # EX315 which is normally mounted to 12V power in your cab. If you want constant 12V power under your bed, you can tap into the 12V power wire that goes to your 7-way trailer connector. Alternatively, you can use the Extang e-Light 500 LED Utility Light for Truck Beds # EX415 which uses a rechargeable battery.

If decide to add a second 7-way to your bed, the Draw-Tite # 20110 will give you that connection. The 12V power is at the 1 o'clock pin. I've attached a photo to assist. You can splice into that wire and then add a switch like # PL-SW28B.
