Do you recommend a tow bar over a tow Dolly. If so why and what tow dolly or tow bar do you recommend?

I would go with a tow dolly over flat-towing as long as the owners manual of your 2013 Lincoln MKS says there are no restrictions on using a tow dolly.
Tow dollies might cost a little more, but you save yourself a lot of time over having to install the components needed for flat towing. Which by the time you pay someone to do the cost wouldn't be that far off. With a tow dolly everything needed is included with the upfront cost of it and it's basically ready to go once its delivered.
Tow dollies are much simpler to use, nothing really to install, and can be used on different vehicles without having to buy several more components.
For a tow dolly I would recommend the part # RM-2050-1. It comes with everything needed an is simple to use.
