I checked the owner's manual for your 2002 Ford Focus with a front wheel drive, and found that it is not recommended for flat-towing. Per the manual they recommend using a tow dolly so that the drive wheels are not on the ground when towing.
We do offer a tow dolly that may work for you. It is the RoadMaster Tow Dolly, part # RM-2050-1. This dolly has an adjustable axle and ramps so it will fit most vehicles. This dolly does have electric brakes so a brake controller will be needed.
The brake controller I recommend is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885.
