Question:
I'm needing wiring so I can flat tow my 2012 Honda CRV. I already have the base plates, tow bar and braking, I'm just not sure what wiring option to go with. What would you suggest?

You're fortunate that the 2012 CR-V has some good options available for wiring.
I prefer an option that doesn't require the vehicle wiring to be cut into. Custer offers a wireless magnetic mount tow lamp, part # LIW-LDTL. Installation couldn't be simpler. Plug the transmitter into the 7-way on the RV, and place the lights where they're wanted on the vehicle. The wireless feature means there's no wires flapping in the breeze as you're driving down the road. The tow bar lighting would remain completely independent of the wiring system of the CR-V
For a more permanent installation, consider the Hopkins # HM56304, which is a plug and play harness that would plug inline with the connection points between the vehicle's wiring harness and the taillight assemblies, for a 100 percent plug and play operation with no cutting or splicing needed.
The # RM-155 you mentioned would indeed work well, but it would require using a 1 inch diameter hole saw to drill a hole in the back side of the taillight assemblies in order to install the bulbs.
Since the wireless option uses rechargeable battery, I'd probably lean more towards the TrailerMate harness.
