Helpful Expert Reply:
It doubles as an anti-theft device in that it would require the thief to have the correct size wrench and socket to first loosen the bolt and the jam nut before they could remove the ball mount or other accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier. While the # PS63091 for 2 inch hitches doesn't have a lock, it would make stealing the ball mount more difficult. You could still use a locking hitch pin like the Master Lock Hitch Receiver and Coupler Latch Lock Set - Padlock - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches Item # 2848DAT.
