Trailer Hitch Compatible with 1990 Ford E350 Van

Updated 06/26/2025 | Published 08/13/2014

Question:

Hello, I have a 1990 Ford E350 full size van and when I looked up the hitch by Ford Van it says that the hitch doesnt fit E350 vans. Do you have a different hitch that fits my van or do you know where I can get one? Thanks in advance for any help you can give in helping us find a hitch for our van. Sincerely

According to my Curt Representative, the Class IV # 14053 or the # 13053 Class III hitch is a fit for the 1990 Ford E350 Van. The Class IV hitch has a 1000 lb tongue weight 10,000 lb towing capacity. The # 13053 Class III has a 500 lb tongue weight, 5,000 lb towing capacity.

You can purchase either hitch by clicking on the provided product links.

Both of the above Curt hitches (part # 14053 or # 13053) do require drilling a couple holes into the frame rails for attachment, but there should also be two existing holes on each side that are used. The chassis really shouldn't be different in this regard just because it's used for an RV. With that being said, if you can't see anything on the frame rails then they'll all just need to be drilled for proper attachment.

@CharlesL The Curt # 14053 Class IV hitch is a fit for your 1997 Ford E350 van, and would be an awesome choice! Hope that helps!
