Question:

I need a roof rack system for my crv. But it does not have existing factory rails. I like the idea of putting it on the door jam. Because then I can switch it to my honda civic. What exactly would be a good system for them?

Your 2002 Honda CR-V has fixed mounting points on the roof so all of the roof racks we offer are designed to be installed using those attachment locations. We do not offer any roof racks that attach to the door jambs of your CR-V.

I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero roof rack. This has 49 inch aerodynamic crossbars that are extremely quiet. To get this roof rack system you will need to order three parts. They are part # RRVA126B-2, part # RRRCH4, and part # RRRCP01-BK.

Since the roof racks are specifically designed to be used with the auto attach points, you will probably not be able to use the same rack on your other vehicle.
