Question:
I tow a 7,000 lb equipment trailer several times a week with my Ford F-250 and have been looking at the Shocker hitches. Whats the advantage of the cushion style over the ones with an airbag? Im mainly trying to make the ride less harsh without adding a bunch of maintenance.

Good morning Travis.
For what you're describing, the Shocker Impact Cushion Ball Mount # SHK68XV would be a great option. It's a nice middle ground between a standard rigid ball mount and a full air-ride setup.
The Impact uses two rubber bump cushions to absorb road shock and reduce front-to-back jerking (chucking). The biggest advantage is simplicity. There's no air pressure to adjust or airbag to maintain, and you still get a smoother ride.
If you want more control over the cushioning, the Shocker Air Ball Mount # SHK97VR is another great option. It uses an adjustable airbag along with rubber bumpers, letting you fine-tune the cushioning based on your trailer's tongue weight. Both models fit 2" receivers and come with 2" hitch balls, so the biggest differences are the cushioning design and available rise/drop adjustments.
What year is your F-250, and does your trailer have a 2" or 2-5/16" coupler? I can help narrow down the best option for your setup.
