Adjustable Shock-Absorbing Ball Mount for Towing Multiple Enclosed and Utility Trailers

Question:

Im looking at the Shocker Impact hitch for my 2022 Ram 1500. I have a 6x12 enclosed trailer and a smaller utility trailer that sit at different heights. Can I adjust this hitch for both trailers or do I need a different ball mount for each one?

Hey Brian!

You can definitely use the Shocker Impact Cushion Ball Mount # SHK68XV for both trailers, provided they use 2" couplers and fall within its height and weight ratings.

This model offers up to 3" of drop or 5" of rise, so you can reposition the ball mount to accommodate different trailer heights. You also get the benefit of the dual bump cushions, which help reduce road shock regardless of which trailer you're pulling.

To figure out the correct adjustment, measure from the ground to the top of your truck's receiver opening, then measure from the ground to the bottom of each trailer's coupler with the trailers level. The difference tells us how much rise or drop you'll need.
