Published 11/03/2026

Question:

Hi - I am pretty sure I saw the tie-ring bracket Im trying to replace on my horse trailer on your site, but now I cant find it again. Its a heavy metal bracket with 3/8 holes set at 2 3/4 on center and holds a circular tie ring. I can send picture of mine if you let me know how to upload. Thx

Hi Kate!

I got your pictures and I would typically call that a tie down loop, but there can be a lot of different names that could go by (eye strap, deck loop, tie strap, tie down anchor, &c). That does make it a little difficult to locate and I will admit to going through all variations of what this could be called and really just coming up with the following part:

Buyers Products Tie-Down Anchor - Cast Aluminum - 5" Long x 2-1/4" Wide - 800 lbs # 337B2402AL

Are you 100% sure you found it at etrailer.com? I'm not saying you didn't or anything, but I am having difficulties finding an exact match what is in your pictures. The # 337B2402AL does look similar, but it also looks a lot larger and measures 5" long x 2-1/4" wide (overall) with 4" hole spacing.

Did one of your loops break or are you wanting to add more of them? And would you be open to a different way of doing this?

Thanks - 5" overall will be too large. In my case this "u" portion of the bracket broke when the horse burst thru the butt bar which was hooked to the bracket. overall length of my bracket is 3 5/8"

@KateB I kind of figured it would be, but still wanted to throw it out there, just in case. With what you are looking for, I think your best bet will be a local hardware or even a boat supply shop. These kinds of loops are somewhat typical of what is used to tie rigging to the hull or deck of a boat, so you may get lucky. I would bring one with you if at all possible as it is always easier to match things when you have one handy. Sorry we didn't have what you were looking for, but let me know if there is anything else I can help with down the road. I'm usually a lot more helpful with this kind of stuff! ^___^
