Welcome back David and congrats on your new trailer. I checked Amera-Lite's website and it looks like their M series enclosed trailers have standard couplers with a 1/4" pin hole just below the latch.
I recommend one of our etrailer Coupler Locks like item # e98888. I have listed our options below by their usable span. The span is the width of the coupler you'll be securing. They all measure 1/4" in diameter.
7/8" Span item # e98889
2" Span item # e98886
2-1/2" Span item # e98887
2-3/4" Span item # e39PR
3-3/8" Span item # e98888
These locks will definitely keep your trailer secured to your truck while you're eating or relaxing after a long day in your hotel room. They can also be used when you store your trailer.
If you don't end up having a pin hole, I'd like you to send me a picture of your coupler directly to the email address you receive this response from.
What do you plan on hauling with your new trailer? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

I bought the coupler for security of course. They work great. I live in a rural area. So theft is low here. My main purpose was to get the couplers with same key. I have five (5) trailers. I got all keys keyed the same with the different sizes that etrailer offers. Worked our great. One key for all my trailers.

Thanks Jerred! I will be picking up my new trailer by the end of the week! Hopefully it has that hole so I can use the locks you have recommended!
