Does The Curt C72RJ Hitch Install In The Same Location As The OEM Hitch On A 2026 Mazda CX-5?

Question:

Hello I have a 2026 CX-5 new model, and wanted a hitch that hides just as the OEM tow hitch. Will this stick out more than the OEM one? I have not seen pictures online about this hitch on a 2026 newer CX-5 model.

Hey Ricardo, thanks for reaching out, and congrats on the new car! The Curt # C72RJ hitch installs in virtually the same location as the OEM hitch on a 2026 Mazda CX-5. The receiver sits in the same location as the OEM hitch, and it does not stick out farther.
