Question:
I just bought a 2027 Ford F-350 with the 8-foot bed but no factory fifth wheel or gooseneck prep package. I need to tow a gooseneck equipment trailer now, but we're considering buying a fifth wheel camper in the future. Is there a hitch I can install that will work for both without having permanent rails in the bed?

Hey Andrew, congratulations on the new truck! I recommend the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Hitch # BW73FR for your 2027 Ford F-350 setup. This includes the custom installation kit along with the ball which you can store upside down when not in use to free up the bed.
When you're ready for a fifth wheel, the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500-5W mounts directly into the Turnoverball socket, so you won't need to install a set of rails. I also recommend the Curt In-Bed 7-Way # C57008, which plugs into your factory 7-way wiring and gives you a connection inside the bed while keeping your bumper connector functional.
This gives you a complete setup for towing your gooseneck now with the option to add a fifth wheel later.
What kind of equipment are you hauling on your gooseneck trailer?

Thanks Robin! I mostly haul a compact tractor and attachments on my gooseneck equipment trailer. Does the Turnoverball have enough capacity for that, or would I need something heavier?
