Base Plate Kit for 2021 Chevy Spark being Flat Towed

Hey Curtis, it looks like there was a manual transmission available for every year of the Chevy Spark from 2013 to 2022. The 2021 year that you referenced is one for sure that can be flat towed if you have a manual transmission and the correct base plate kit would be the Blue Ox part # BX1725 which you could use with the tow bar # BX7420. Have you flat towed a vehicle before?

Basically any manual transmission vehicle can be flat towed.

I have not personally towed one myself. I have helped my dad hook up his Chevy Spark to his Class A RV. I have pulled a lot of trailers with various vehicles. I have also pulled two trailers with our Class C so I feel fairly confident with my ability to tow. I just want to make sure I get the proper vehicle and the correct equipment so I don't screw up the car or the RV.

@CurtisP Make sense! Yeah it's not really much different at all from towing a trailer with exception you can't back up haha. Are you looking for a complete flat towing setup once you pick out the Spark?

Yes I would need a complete setup. I am currently looking a good deal on a Spark. However, we are now entering the winter season, so I don't expect to buy any vehicle unless it's a really good deal. If I do I would want to bring it in to prep for an install.
