Will the Surco Replacement Bike Rack Cradles Fit a 1-1/8" Diameter Tube?

The Replacement Cradles and Straps for Surco 2-Bike Carrier # SPN449 are designed to fit a 1" diameter tube, so they won't work with your 1-1/8" tube.

Can you confirm the exact brand and model of your bike rack? Replacement bike rack parts are typically brand and model specific, so I'd like to reach out to the manufacturer to see if they have something available that will work for you.

Its an older bike rack. The brand is Rhode Gear.

@RandyM Thanks for getting back to me! I found something that is more the right size. The Swagman Replacement Anti-Sway Cradles # SP499 are designed for bike rack arms measuring 1-1/8" in diameter, which is exactly what you have. The actual cradle opening measures 1-3/16", so we're only looking at a 1/16" difference. These are slightly bigger than the # SPN449 you were originally looking at. I just wish they come in something smaller than an 8 pack.
