What Type of Gasket is Included With LC88AF

Updated 10/27/2026 | Published 10/26/2026

Question:

Is this gasket foam or rubber. Purchased a more rigid rubber one but it doesn’t compress enough to seat the toilet to the floor completely. Need a foam gasket that compresses more. It would need to compress into those two plastic waffle like mesh areas at the bottom of the toilet

Hey Michael!

I went to our warehouse to confirm this information for you. The gasket included in the Lippert Replacement Bottom Gasket and Hardware # LC88AF is more of a rubberized foam in person, but for the purposes of your question I'd label it as a foam. I was able to compress it pretty easily with only my hand, so I think it could work for your intended purposes. It is made specifically to fit Lippert Flow Max and Dometic 310 and 320 toilets, though, so it may not be the exact size you're needing.

What model of toilet are you working on? Also, if you're able to measure the one that you have, could you give me the inner and outer diameters? From there, I can confirm that this gasket kit will work for you!

Hi Jerry thanks for the response. It’s a Dometic 310.

@MichaelM Awesome, then this will be great for you! Was the original damaged or was it a new install?
