Can Z-TRAK Be Installed In The Composite Bed Of A 2025 Toyota Tundra?

Published 10/14/2026

Question:

I have a 2025 Toyota Tundra CrewMax and I'm interested in the Z-TRAK rail for securing my Milwaukee Packout boxes, generator and other tools. My only concern is the composite bed. I'm not sure how well screws are going to hold in that material, especially with heavier equipment. Is this something I can safely install myself?

Hey Jason!

Yes, the Z-TRAK Cargo Rail # ZT39FR is a great option for your 2025 Toyota Tundra!

Toyota switched to an aluminum-reinforced composite bed starting with the 2022 Tundra, so I'd strongly recommend adding the Z-TRAK Plus Nut Kit # ZT78FR instead of relying on the included self-drilling screws. The Plus Nuts expand behind the mounting surface to provide a stronger connection, and the kit includes an installation tool.

Once installed, you can position E-track anchors wherever they're most convenient for securing your equipment. I'd also consider the Secure Anything Pro Bundle # ZT37VR, which includes retractable ratchet straps and several additional anchors.

Does your Tundra have the factory cargo-management rails, or just the standard composite bed?
