Can the Andersen Rapid Jack Be Used to Change a Tire on a Single-Axle Trailer?

Published 10/01/2026

Question:

I have a single-axle travel trailer and want an easier way to lift it when changing a flat tire. Can I use the Andersen Single Axle Rapid Jack AN25VR instead of carrying a traditional bottle or floor jack?

Hey Josh, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Andersen Single Axle Rapid Jack # AN25VR is specifically designed for single-axle trailers and gives you a quick way to raise the trailer for tire changes, maintenance, or other roadside situations. It has a 12,000-lb capacity, and instead of positioning a conventional jack under the frame or axle, you drive or back the trailer tire onto the curved Rapid Jack to lift that side of the trailer.

The big thing is making sure you have a firm, level surface so the Rapid Jack stays stable as the trailer rolls onto it. Its compact design also makes it a lot easier to keep in the trailer than hauling around a bulky floor jack.

What type and weight of single-axle trailer are you planning to use it with?
