How Does etrailer Retractable Tonneau Cover Drain Water On 2026 Ford F-150
Published 09/30/2026 >
Question:
I park my 2026 F-150 outside year round and I'm looking at the e23YV for the 5-1/2' bed. How does this cover handle rain that gets into the rails? Does it have a way to drain the water out of the bed?

Hey Kevin! Yes, the etrailer Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # e23YV has a built-in drainage system to help manage water that gets past the cover. Drain tubes route the water from the rails and canister out through the drain locations in your F-150's bed.
No tonneau cover is completely waterproof, but between the seals and drainage system this does a good job of keeping water away from the cargo area.
What do you typically keep in the bed?

That's good to know. I keep a lot of tools and work gear in the bed so having the water routed out instead of collecting underneath the cover is a big plus. Thanks!
