Question:
Dylux RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box, Thermostat - Ductless - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 Code: DY47FR I am interested in installing the Dylux RV air conditioner purchased by my in-laws, as I have extensive experience installing Dometic, Houghton, and Coleman units. Since this is my first time working with a Dylux model, could you please provide the installation manual or any technical documentation? I would like to review the requirements and mounting specifics—such as necessary seals or hardware—before I begin. I have already successfully run the 120V power to the site. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Hey Jason, we can definitely help but oddly enough Dylux does not have install manuals or documents readily available online to download but I can help still with your individual questions for the time being:
It requires a 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" roof opening.
Power is 115V AC, 60 Hz; cooling draw is listed at 1,550 watts.
Rooftop unit weighs 73.4 lbs.
The roof opening needs to be properly framed/reinforced to support the unit and prevent the roof and ceiling layers from being compressed together. This is most likely already the case for your application.
The supplied foam/sealing strips are part of the installation, so you will not need to purchase a conventional universal A/C roof gasket separately.
Don't slide the rooftop unit across the roof/sealing material when positioning it; lower it into position over the opening.
All in all its a very standard AC install which it sounds like you are already familiar with and it does come with an install manual. If you'd like I can reach out to them and see about getting a manual emailed to me and then to you.

Jameson, Thank you for such a quick reply. I would appreciate it if you could try to get a download. I'm trying to make this an easy install so they won't be afraid to replace their original 2011 AC unit in the future when it quits. Jason
