Would you recommend putting a canoe on a rhino rack cargo basket? Vehicle 2012 4runner limited with cross bars installed. Thank You.

You could carry a canoe on the Rhino-Rack basket # RMCB02 but I recommend adapting some foam blocks # MPG156 to protect the canoe and the basket. Also you will need to make sure that the combined weight of the canoe and the basket does not exceed the roof rack capacity or the vehicle roof weight carrying capacity, which ever is lower. Consult the vehicle owners manual and/or Toyota for the roof capacity on your 2012 Toyota 4Runner.
Ideally, though, you would remove the basket and put the canoe on the crossbars, or use the foam blocks on the crossbars and put the canoe on them.
