Question:
I have a 2011 Ford Excape XLT, . I just had a trailer hitch installed but can not find a compatable wiring harness. The vehicle has factory install wiring but the connector under the vehicle is a 10 pin connector, with male pins. All of the wiring kits I can find only connect to a 4 pin connector. Is there a conversion connector to allow the 4 pin to connectot into the 10 pin connector? Thanks

I did some online research, even checking the Ford OEM trailer converter part, and was unable to locate a wiring harness or adapter of any kind that would utilize the 10 pin connector you mentioned. Are you certain that connector is for a towing harness?
Everything I saw online offered a harness like the # 118251 that would plug into a 4 pin connector behind the bumper on the driver's side or a harness like # 118551 that plugs inline with the harnesses feeding the tail light assemblies.
