Adapter Recommendation for a Flatbed Truck with Gooseneck to Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 flatbed and it has a gooseneck hitch. I have a 5th wheel camper, so my question is should I change to a 5th wheel hitch or change out the 5th wheel box to a gooseneck and if so how safe would the gooseneck hitch be in towing my 5th wheel camper.

I think the easiest/best option for you at this point would be to go with a fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter like part # CAB-C5G. This will install onto the pin box of your trailer and will allow your trailer to be towed by the gooseneck hitch in your 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 flat bed. This way you are not permanently modifying your truck or your trailer and you will still be able to safely tow your trailer.
I attached a review video and installation instructions for this adapter for you to check out also.
