Question:
Im not very knowledged in this but i bet you are. Im thinking about a solar powered trickle charger adding a battery and then a solar powered light system in my enclosed 22’ trailer. What products are the direction i need to be going or possibly what whole set up is recommended.

Hey Frank! This really depends on your battery size and expected use. I'll assume you're adding something like a 100 Ah battery to the trailer.
If you're adding a couple LED lights and will be using them occasionally, with the trailer mostly sitting, you can add a simple panel like the OptiMate Solar Duo Portable Solar Panel with Controller # MA89JR. This has a 20W panel that will keep your battery topped off, and be able to handle charging the battery from occasional use of the lights.
If you're adding a lot of lights and using them frequently, a more comprehensive setup like the Rich Solar RV Solar Charging Kit w/ 1 Panel # RS27VR. This uses a 100W panel, so it will recharge your battery quite a bit faster and do a much better job keeping up with regular use. It also gives you some flexibility if you add more batteries or need to power more devices since additional panels can be added to the system.
What do you use your trailer for?
