Question:
Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack with Backbone Mounting System - 51 Long x 56 Wide Is this the whole set needed to carry a rooftop tent? Other websites show 3 mounting point on the roof, this one look to be only 2, is that the case? If only 2 mounting points on the roof and not 3 is it rated for the same amount of weight? Thanks

Hey Daniel. Thanks for reaching out.
The Rhino-Rack Backbone, once installed on your Jeep, will give you 4 mounting points, 2 on each side. The Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack with Backbone Mounting System part # RR34CP comes with everything you need to install both the Backbone and the Pioneer platform. This kit is designed for the 2013 Jeep Wrangler with 2 doors.
If you have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, 4-door, that setup uses a 3-bar system instead. In that case, you would need part # RR35KP.
Load capacity will vary depending on whether you have the Wrangler or Wrangler Unlimited. The specifications are below:
2013 Jeep Wrangler with 2-bars:
Maximum load capacity On-Road: 209 lbs
Maximum load capacity Off Road: 138 lbs
Static Capacity: 530 lbs
2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with 3-bars:
Maximum load capacity On-Road: 264 lbs
Maximum load capacity Off Road: 176 lbs
Static Capacity: 800 lbs
Which rooftop tent are you going to be using on your Jeep?
