Question:
Hello! I am torn between the Fastway E2 92-00-0450 and the 92-00-0600 weight distribution hitches with 450lb and 600lb tongue weight capacities respectively. Our travel trailer is 2925lbs dry and 3750lbs GVWR, dry tongue weight on paper is 250lbs but I imagine this is closer to 300lbs with a battery and 20lb of propane. I expect tongue weight on the trailer to be around 350-400lbs when fully loaded. We are towing with a 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE. My concern with the 92-00-0450 is that the 450lb tongue weight may be cutting it too close. On the other hand Im concerned with the 600lb being too stiff and potentially impacting ride quality as well as potential for damaging the trailer frame and tow vehicle. What would be the recommendation in this situation? Ive read somewhere that the 92-00-0600 is rated for 200-600lbs of tongue weight but cannot seem to find this info on the manufacturers website or manual. Thanks!

Hey Mohammed, I would go with the Fastway part # FA92-00-0600 as it has a tongue weight range of 250-600 lbs which your loaded tongue weight figure of 350-400 would fall right into the middle of which is where you want to be.
The part # FA92-00-0450 would work too but you would be more towards the top of it's range and ideally you are near the center. What is the trailer?
