Hey Ronald, welcome back! It looks like you got the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160. The custom wiring harness for your Yukon won't fit the Silverado so if you have the factory brake port you will need the # 3015-P for installation. If you do not have the factory brake controller port on the Silverado you can cut the connector off the old wiring harness and hard wire it.
What will you be towing?

Hi Ronald, I had the same controller on my 08 suburban. It was basically plug & go. After adjustments it worked great pulling a 30 ft travel trailer. I don't think you will have any problems on your 05 Silverado. I would recommend the wiring adaptor E-Trailer suggested unless you're good at splicing wires. Wire colors may or may not match. Good luck.
