I own a 1987 bronco ii. I recently added a hopkins 7 pin trailer hook up and am looking to add brake controller. Could you please suggest a product and wiring solution for my application. My trailer is a double axle car hauler which has brakes on one axle. Thank you.

Hi William!
You have a bunch of options as you will be hardwiring a brake controller in, but I have two very good options that I prefer listed below:
Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller - Up to 3 Axles - Proportional # TK90160
Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness - Dash Knob - Proportional # RED52VR
The Tekonsha is the more traditional hanging style, which I will admit to not being a huge fan of, but that's because I'm 6'5" and I tend to hit my knees on them. However, it is quite a bit less expensive and works very well. The Redarc option is a lot more expensive, but the hidden design is much more appealing to me. You will have to drill a hole somewhere for the knob to mount (which will be the only visible part once installed) though. It is also a very reliable option and will handle what you need perfectly.
With whichever option you decide to go with, you are going to also want to grab the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers # 5506. I have a diagram linked that will show you how you need to wire everything up. It won't be too terribly difficult to accomplish.
Do you have the V6 or the turbo diesel 4 cylinder? Growing up, I had a neighbor with the V6 version that he had tricked out. Thing was pretty sweet.

Hey William, how did things go with adding the brake controller to your Bronco II? Did you end up going with the Tekonsha Primus IQ or the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty setup? Your update could make it easier for others wiring a similar trailer.
