Quick Disconnect Option /for Switching Between Battery Chargers On 12V And 24V Systems

Updated 12/31/2025 | Published 12/30/2025

Question:

I switch between an onboard charger and a portable charger depending on where I’m at. Is there a way to do that without swapping wires around? 12 volt batteries. Meaning a quick plug and play option. right now I remove the battery ring terminals every time with tools.

Mike, there's definitely a solution for you. We recently started carrying the Connect-Ease quick-disconnect lineup, which gives you a quick disconnect / quick connect plug so that you’re not constantly moving clamps or redoing ring terminals.

If you’re running 2 12v batteries, the 24v series game changer # CE26RR is especially nice since it includes integrated charging leads along with the main supply leads. For 12V setups, the # CE76RR or # CE66RR keeps things simple. Once it’s wired, switching chargers becomes plug-and-play. What exactly are you charging? Is it for a trolling motor or something else?

That helps a lot. I’m charging a single 12V battery right now, but might add a second one later.

@Miike Ok nice, then I'd probably stick with the 12V options for now. The # CE66RR is rated for 12V, 24V, and 36V, so if you added a second 12v battery down the line, it may still work for you if they are wired all in series.
