Where Do Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps Attach
Updated 12/01/2025 | Published 11/10/2025 >
Question:
down of about 6” was mentioned, what part of vehicle should I measure from so I can get an idea of height off ground step is? Example, if it should hang down 6” from floor board, I could measure 6” down from floor board to ground, subtract 6” and that is height I would have to step up to. Thank you,

Hey Smokey66! The Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps # CARR124501 are going to attach to your rocker panels. You can measure down from there to see where the step will sit once installed.

Hey Smokey66, how did your measurements turn out after checking from the rocker panels for the Carr side steps? Your results could really help others trying to figure out the right step height for their trucks.
