Hi Todd!
If this is happening with your Tekonsha Voyager iD Brake Controller # TK26BR, you will want to do the following things:
Trailer is not connected to vehicle:
-I know you said your trailer was connected, but make sure all the connection points are nice and clean and everything is fully plugged in. Like all the way.
Open circuit on brake line:
-Make sure you are getting power to the brakes when you hold the manual override (you will need a tester for this).
Ground connection is poor:
-Make sure all grounds are on good clean metal surfaces. Each brake should also have its own dedicated ground. It is fairly common to have multiple grounds at one point, but it is always better for each ground to be on its own.
No POWER to unit through BLACK wire:
-Make sure you are getting a full 12v to the brake controller from the battery/black wire. This should be hot at all times.
If none of this gets it working properly, are the brakes working when you use the brake pedal or manual override?
