Can Inno Tire Hold Bike Rack Hold 4-1/2" Fat Tire Bikes

Question:

Would the Inno fit 4.5 inch fat tires if the tire size insert at the top of each arm was removed?

Hi Rob; removing them will not allow you to add a bike with 4.5" tires. None of the bike racks that match this style will allow for tires that wide. Instead, I recommend the Hollywood Racks TRS Bike Rack # HR3000. This is a wheel mount platform rack with a 50 lb capacity per bike that can accommodate 4.5" tires.

Hey Rob, how did things go with the Hollywood Racks TRS bike rack for your fat-tire bikes? Your update could make it easier for the next person trying to carry wider tires.

@RobinH - I did not buy it because I am not sure if I am buying the fatty I was looking at. I did take out the insert and a 4" tire fit and it seemed secure but the fatty I was looking at was 4.5".
