Replacement Handle for Trailer Jack on a 2009 Loadmaster Boat Trailer

Updated 10/08/2025 | Published 09/19/2025

Question:

I have a 2009 Loadmaster steel boat trailer that has a 2 1/2 square welded on jack that the handle fell off when going to the lake. I think it might be a Shelby jack. Is there any way to find a replacement handle for this? I have both gears so I can give you the diameter and the length of the drive section would be around 3. I have pictures I can send also. Please get back to me as soon as you can. Thank you for your looking into this for me. Respectfully, Robert

Hey Robert!

I'm not seeing that we have any jack handles with a 3" diameter (which is what I believe you were saying), but I do see you recently purchased the Replacement Sidewind Handle Kit for Fulton XP15 Series Marine Jacks # F0933305S00. Did this fix your problem?

Received the handle and it did not work. The hole for press pin was not in the right spot. Had to take it to a machine shop and they drilled another hole for the press pin 1/4” closer to the handle side and then everything fit properly. I would let future customers know what they have to do to make this fit in the 2009 Shelby jack. Thanks for your help. Bob

HI JON, THE 3" WAS REFERENCING THE LENGH OF THE HANDLE SECTION THAT HOLDS THE GEAR. ALSO THE NEW PRESS PIN DIAMETER THAT CAME WITH THE NEW HANDLE IS TOO LARGE TO FIT INTO THE ORIGINAL GEAR THAT LOCKS IT TO THE HANDLE. I HAD TO GRIND THE GEAR PIN AREA WITH A SMALL DREMMEL SO THE PRESS PIN WOULD FIT. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER TO ORDER A NEW GEAR BUT I DON'T KNOW IF IT WOULD MATCH THE ORIGINAL LOWER GEAR... HOPE ALL THIS MAKES SENCE, BUT BOTTOM LINE IT WORKS GREAT! THANKS, BOB

@BobE Thanks for the clarification! And I'm glad to hear you were able to get it to work for your jack!
