Hello Robert,

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # DT68MR is a great option for your 2021 Audi Q3. I do want to mention that this hitch is not compatible with the hands-free tailgate feature, so installing it could cause that function to stop working. This is the case with most hitches across many vehicles. Sometimes, however, customers have found that moving their foot to the side helps them find the “sweet spot” to still activate it.

For a ball mount, our etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball - 2" Hitch - 2-3/4" Rise - 7,500 lbs # e38NR will work great. I really like that it comes with a black nickel-plated finish, it gives it a sleek, upgraded look.

The wiring for your vehicle is more challenging to install compared to most. You’ll need the ModuLite Ultra Protector Wiring Harness w/ Integrated Circuit and Overload Protection # 119192, along with the install kit # 118151, and the 4-flat connector # 48195 (this also comes with a trailer-end, which is handy to have as a spare).

I’ve also attached a link where you can find dealers in your area if you’d like to have the installation handled professionally. The hitch itself is straightforward to install, but the wiring is where things can get tricky.

What lake do you like to get out on? We are located in Missouri, so I am out at the Lake of the Ozarks, and Mark Twain lake quite a bit as I like to dabble in some local bass fishing tournaments.
